In addition, an experienced driver must be alongside the driver, i.e. a person with a driving license for at least 10 years and no more than 65 years of age. For those who drive a vehicle with the pink sheet, the Beginner's P is mandatory, in fact this mark is used to warn other drivers that the vehicle is being driven by an inexperienced person. In this way, drivers of other vehicles will pay attention to the novice driver, who, for example, could suddenly brake the car or make the vehicle switch off during a hill start. The letter P must be kept for the entire period preceding the obtaining of the definitive driving license, therefore every time the driver with the pink slip exercises, the car must be equipped with this mark. After the last regulatory update introduced with the infrastructure decree, today the duration of the pink sheet is 1 year, during which up to 3 attempts can be made to pass the practical test.

P beginner: where to put in the car?

The Beginner's P must only be displayed when driving with a private car, in fact the badge is not necessary on board special vehicles such as driving school cars.
