EH Bildu, Podemos, Izquierda Unida, Batzarre and the Communist Party have convened this Friday, at 7:00 p.m. in Pamplona’s Town Hall Square, a rally ‘No to war! Peace for the peoples’. A mobilization to which the CCOO, CGT, Solidari and Steilas unions have joined.
The convening organizations want to demonstrate with this concentration their “strong denunciation of the Russian military attack, demanding its immediate cessation and the withdrawal of troops.” In turn, they consider it essential “not to abandon the work of diplomacy and in favor of peace.” “The consequences of this escalation will be suffered by the population: in Ukraine, in Russia and in the European Union,” they warned.
Thus, they have highlighted that “peaceful and diplomatic means are the way forward” and have recalled “the obligation to accept asylum applications, by virtue of article 38 of the Spanish asylum law”.
For these formations, it is “essential to continue mobilizing against Russia’s attack on Ukraine” since the mobilizations of citizens against the war “remind the Government of its obligation to work within the European Union and under the United Nations, for the end of war and maintenance of peace”.
Likewise, he has encouraged “all actors to support the ongoing dialogue between the governments of Russia and Ukraine to put an end to the military attack and seek lasting solutions.”
